REFLECTION
Experience: Engaging with this module turned out to be a delightful rollercoaster of creativity and frustration. The process of translating my designs from Figma to code was like bringing a digital Frankenstein to life. At times, I found myself in a battle against my own code, fighting against tiny, elusive bugs—sometimes as elusive as that missing period or closing bracket. Despite the occasional frustration, conquering these challenges eventually transformed into a source of amusement.
Observation: As a coding amateur, I started with grand visions of intricate designs that seemed more fitting for a seasoned pro. This initial enthusiasm turned into a reality check, leading me to realize that simplicity is the way to go. Starting with the basics laid a solid foundation, and it was refreshing to witness how tackling simpler designs paved the way for learning more complex creations.
Findings: The outcome of my projects brought a sense of accomplishment, but I'm aware that the journey doesn't end here. Reflecting on my work, I acknowledge the importance of meticulous organization—from choosing assets to selecting icons. I discovered a burgeoning passion for website design and a desire to enhance my skills in creating not just visually appealing but also user-friendly interfaces. With newfound skills in tow, I'm gearing up for a holiday full of coding practice and an exciting exploration of the world of UI/UX.
